Southwest Windpower Names CEO Successor
Flagstaff, Ariz. –December 1, 2009. CEO of Southwest Windpower, Frank Greco, announced today that he has successfully found a successor. “The company has positioned itself as a global leader and is prepared to take its next generation step in growth. R. Dixon Thayer has accepted the position and will start with the company as its CEO on December 8, 2009. Dixon comes to Southwest Windpower with a history of experience and success that we believe will take the company to the next and subsequent levels it is destined for under his leadership,” said Greco. Dixon recently completed the market leading successful transformation of I‐trax Health Solutions (AMEX: DMX). Prior to his position as CEO of I‐Trax, Dixon was the CEO of GreenLeaf Recycling Inc., after leading the leveraged buyout of this division from Ford Motor Company. He was also the founder and Senior Partner of ab3 Resources Inc. a strategic advisory and investment firm. Mr. Thayer has significant executive leadership experience at major corporations such as Chief Executive Officer of Global New Business Operations for Ford Motor Company’s FCSD Sector from 1999 to 2002 and has also served numerous other upper management positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer for Provant Consulting Companies. As President of Sunbeam’s International Division, Mr. Thayer led the organization to significant growth and profitability in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Additional executive positions included Vice President of Research, Development, Engineering & Global Growth for Kimberly Clark Corporation as well as numerous roles at Scott Paper Company from 1973 to 1992. He has more than 25 years of experience in leadership with areas of expertise in business turnarounds, regenerative growth, and value creation.
Mr. Greco will remain with the company in the capacity of Executive Vice President of International Operations, to assist Dixon with the transition and focus his efforts on the company’s continued global
